This painting in particular was painted on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. This type of outdoor painting is called "Plein Air" artwork. This painting was on our 2nd nights camp, This painting was towards the end of my Grand Canyon expedition. As i was an oars(wo)man, I had lots of work to do before I was able to paint. I aimed to make a painting every single day on the river, however with the tasks of a boatman, it was difficult to set up camp, make dinner, and paint every single night. But with all that, I did end up painting as much as I possibly could!
